- I love fasting reddit. I feel so accomplished. And on Tuesday night I decided to do a longer one. Lmao I clearly do intermittent fasting and it's not my point about intermittent fasting. There are fasting-mimicking diets and things like fat fasting which may work so that could be an option for those struggling to fast, and sure sometimes people get away with a bit of this or that during their fasting window. No matter what your beliefs or background the decision to fast will definitely help you to find clear direction on a path forward. I don't know if i could honestly say it's my energy that is higher but I'm certain that it reduces spikes in insulin and blood sugar levels resulting in a more stable feeling of energy throughout the day. I feel like it help eliminate sugars reserves and encourage autophagy even more. I am sure I eat my protein and my points for the most part. My concern is when I see post saying "I'm not going to eat until I lose 60lbs" that is what concerns me. Had a small cup of black coffee, no sugar, because I am seriously addicted to caffeine and the headaches would be a bitch without it (not to mention that a lot of people already get headaches from fasting in the first place, there's no way I could fight a double headache plus hunger). But a close second is how it's improving my willpower. I'm fasting only for the improved mental acuity. I would fail fasting many times because I would get hungry, and just end up quitting the fast.
