I'm looking at fuel filter (I just replaced it), fuel pump (these 420 pumps are notorious for going out/overheating and giving symptoms described) and I've also seen people say the fuel pump relay back by the ECU can go bad and not work well once everything warms up (joints in relay expand with heat, and no longer make a good connection). I knew the gas was ruined so I went ahead and drained the tank and dissasembled the carburator and cleaned it. yesterday I made a trip out to the bogs and my rancher fired right up started to head to the trails for after 5 minutes if i gave it too much gas it would shut off. It will re-start and idle perfect until you give it gas. you might want to try unplugging the parking brake sensor it helped me. After it dies on me, it fires right up and drives fine as long as I am quick to the throttle, and as long as I continue to give it gas. This does not occur in reverse or when I rev in neutral.
